Privacy policy
What data we collect through the Netradar forms, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.
Last updated: 10 September 2026.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
1. Who processes the data
The data controller is SC ROBERT-SIM SRL, VAT no. RO10488937, Trade Register no. J22/379/1998, registered at str. Fantanilor nr. 35, bl. B1, ap. 44, Iasi, Iasi County, Romania, which operates the netradar.ro website.
You can write to us at any time at contact@netradar.ro or call +40 711 000 555 with any question about your data. We are not legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer; requests concerning personal data are handled directly by the management of the company, at the email address above.
2. What we do, in short
We are an independent advisory service. We check which internet and television providers have coverage at your address and tell you what alternatives you have. To do that, we need the address where the check is made and a way to contact you with the result. The other questions in the form are there so that the answer is relevant to your situation rather than generic.
3. What data we collect, why, and on what legal basis
3.1. Data from the availability check form
- Your town and, optionally, the exact address — without them we cannot check what infrastructure exists where you live. A comparison without an address would be purely theoretical.
- Your phone number and, optionally, your name and email address — so that we can send you the result on the channel you choose.
- Your answers in the form — how satisfied you are, what you would like to change, your current provider and the remaining contract term.
Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box in the form — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For requests from companies, the basis may be the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We never ask for your national identification number, identity document data or bank details in order to check availability. If anyone asks you for such data in our name, do not provide it and let us know.
3.2. Data from the order form
If you press „Order now” on a package on the offers page, we ask for: your name, phone number, town and, optionally, the street, number, building and flat, your email address, the channel on which you prefer to be contacted and a free-text message. We also record which package you chose.
Why: to check what can actually be installed at your address, to confirm the price with you by phone and, if you agree, to pass the order on for installation.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — pre-contractual steps taken at your request. Without a phone number and a town we cannot process the request. The exact address is only needed if we go ahead with the installation.
We do not ask for your national identification number, identity document data or bank details in order to take an order. If these are needed, the provider asks you for them directly, when the contract is signed.
3.3. Data from direct conversations
If you call us, email us or contact us on WhatsApp, we process the phone number or email address you contacted us from and the content of your message, so that we can reply.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — or pre-contractual steps, if the message concerns a service.
WhatsApp conversations pass through the infrastructure of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, which has its own terms and policies. If you would rather not use this channel, you can email us or call us.
3.4. Technical and browsing data
- An anonymised form of your IP address — used solely to limit automated spam submissions and for the security of the site. Basis: legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Hosting server logs — IP address, time of access, page requested, browser type. These are generated automatically by any web server and are used for diagnosing technical problems and for security. Basis: legitimate interest.
- Measurement and advertising data — collected through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, only if you have accepted the corresponding categories in the cookie banner. Basis: your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Full details, including account identifiers and the duration of each cookie, are in our Cookie Policy.
3.5. Source of the data
All the personal data we hold about you comes directly from you — from the form, from the messages you send us or from your interaction with the site. We do not buy databases and we do not obtain data about you from third parties.
4. Who we share the data with
Your data is not sold, is not rented out and is not used for the marketing campaigns of other companies.
With the provider you choose. When you decide to go ahead with an offer, we pass on strictly the data needed to conclude the contract and schedule the installation — name, phone number, installation address — to the provider you have chosen. Without your explicit agreement for that particular provider, we pass on nothing. An order sent from the offers page does not trigger the transfer automatically: we call you first, confirm the package and the price, and only after you agree do we pass the data on. From that moment the provider becomes an independent controller for the data it receives and its own privacy policy applies.
With our processors, which process the data exclusively on our behalf, under processing agreements compliant with Art. 28 GDPR:
- the web hosting provider, which stores the site and the database;
- the email service provider, through which we receive and send correspondence;
- the marketing agency that manages the advertising campaigns and the analytics accounts;
- Google Ireland Limited, for measurement and advertising services, within the limits of your consent.
With public authorities, only where the law obliges us to and only to the extent required by law.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Processing normally takes place within the European Union. There are, however, two situations in which data may leave it:
- Google — analytics and advertising services are provided by Google Ireland Limited, but the infrastructure may involve transfers to Google LLC in the United States.
- WhatsApp — if you choose to write to us on that channel.
These transfers take place under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which those providers are certified, supplemented by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. You may request a copy of the applicable safeguards by writing to contact@netradar.ro.
6. How long we keep the data
- Availability check requests — a maximum of 24 months from our last interaction with you, after which they are deleted. If you ask for deletion sooner, we do it within 30 days at the latest.
- Orders sent from the offers page — a maximum of 24 months from the last interaction, so that we can evidence what you asked for and what we confirmed. If no contract results and you ask for deletion, we do it within 30 days at the latest.
- Email and WhatsApp correspondence — a maximum of 24 months from the last message.
- Technical server logs — generally up to 12 months, according to the hosting provider policy.
- Proof of cookie consent — up to 12 months, the same as the cookie that records it.
- Documents of accounting or tax relevance, if a contract results — for the period required by financial and accounting legislation.
7. Automated decisions and profiling
We do not take automated decisions producing legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affecting you, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. The recommendation we give you is made by a consultant, based on an actual check of coverage at your address.
If you have accepted marketing cookies, Google platforms may place you in audience segments for advertising purposes. This has advertising effects only, does not influence the offer you receive from us, and can be stopped at any time by withdrawing your consent in the cookie banner.
8. Security of the data
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to form data is limited to the people who need it in order to reply to you, through individual password-protected accounts. We apply security updates to the site and its components, and backups are kept by the hosting provider.
No measure offers an absolute guarantee. If a security breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will inform you and notify the supervisory authority within the deadlines set by Art. 33 and 34 GDPR.
9. Minors
Our service is aimed at adults who are able to enter into contracts for communications services. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 16. If you become aware that a minor has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
In relation to your data, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — to find out what data we hold about you and to receive a copy.
- Right to rectification — to ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Right to erasure (the „right to be forgotten”) — to ask for deletion where there is no longer a legal reason to keep the data.
- Right to restriction of processing — to ask us to freeze processing while a challenge of yours is being verified.
- Right to data portability — to receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to ask for it to be transmitted directly to another controller, where technically feasible.
- Right to object — to object to processing based on our legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- Right not to be subject to an automated decision, under the conditions of Art. 22 GDPR.
- Right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru nr. 28–30, sector 1, Bucharest, dataprotection.ro. You also have the right to go to court.
How to exercise your rights
Send us an email at contact@netradar.ro telling us which right you wish to exercise. So that we do not hand your data to someone impersonating you, we may ask you to confirm the request from the email address or phone number you used when you contacted us. We will never ask you for copies of identity documents.
We reply within 30 days of receiving the request at the latest. If the request is complex, the deadline may be extended by up to two further months, in which case we inform you within the first 30 days and explain why. Exercising your rights is free of charge; we may charge a reasonable fee only for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests, in particular repetitive ones.
11. What happens if you do not give us the data
Filling in the form is voluntary. If you do not give us your town or address, we cannot check coverage and cannot give you a useful answer. If you do not give us a way to contact you, we have no way to send you the result. There is no other consequence if you choose not to give us your data — you can browse the site freely.
12. Cookies
Full details about the cookies used on this site, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, the categories, durations and how you can change your choice, are in our Cookie Policy.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change something important — a new purpose of processing, a new recipient, a different retention period — we update the date at the top of this page and, where the law requires it, we ask for your consent again. We encourage you to re-read this page from time to time.
